Letter of last instruction

A letter of last instruction can make discharging your final wishes much easier.

You’ve probably been planning on writing a will. However, there is another document that you should also write well in advance so that you know that your last wishes are being carried out. Essentially, this is called a letter of last instruction. This is a letter that gives out all of the necessary information that would be required to carry out your last wishes and the instructions that may be included in your formal will. There is a list of instructions that you should give to your lawyer, and to your spouse.

Since this is not an official piece of paper, you should also keep in mind that it can and should be updated – in which case you should make sure that you also supply the date on which your letter of last instruction was written. As long as you have the date, then it will be easy to determine which letter is the newest and most up-to-date.

There are a few things that you should make sure you put on the letter of last instruction. First of all, you should make sure to list all of the names and contact information of people who should be notified on the event of your death. You should also include instructions on how to find your will so that it is not overlooked or permanently lost.

This is also a good place to list any important papers that you might have in your possession – for instance, marriage certificates, social security cards, or information about your prior military service. You can also state the location of your safe deposit box, as well as the location of the key.

At this point, you should basically make sure that you list the locations and any important information that might be needed to take possession of your assets. That way, you’ll make it much easier for your lawyer and family members to fulfill the instructions and last wishes that were included in your will.

Finally, you should also make sure that your letter of last instruction includes the full names of your mother and your father. This information will be necessary to fill out the death certificate.
